During the COVID-19 pandemic, our client, a government health department in Brunei, faced similar problems.
Challenge
The client, being a government healthcare department, had a huge volume of public data at its disposal. However, in
the absence of a centralized patient data repository, the client struggled to optimally utilize that data for public
health awareness. They were also dealing with data inconsistencies that led to delays in service delivery. Also, the
health department did not have a tracking mechanism for public inquiries. Lack of a proper platform also meant that
patients could not update their COVID-19 records, leading to limited information. Due to these technological
limitations, the health department was taking way too long to complete their end-to-end COVID-19 services, from
patient registration to discharge.
