More Than 20,000 Assets Connected Through One Platform
BCT deployed its MIDAS360-based Computerised Asset Management System to connect multi-vendor metro subsystems, standardise asset data and support condition-based maintenance.

Challenge
Asset management had been concentrated on rolling stock, while fixed infrastructure capable of stopping service lacked equivalent structured monitoring. Each subsystem came from a specialist supplier with its own console, data format and protocol, forcing teams to correlate information manually.
As the network expanded, maintenance remained reactive: faults were often acted on after affecting passengers. The operator needed one view of asset health, a common data language and a way for its own teams to extend the platform without vendor dependency over 15 years.

Solution
BCT designed and delivered a Computerised Asset Management System on MIDAS360, a BCT-owned integration and analytics platform. It brought major asset classes into one managed system: signalling, power and OHE/catenary, ventilation, vertical transportation, platform screen doors, automatic fare collection, telecommunications (including PIDS, PA and CCTV) and track.
MIDAS360 connected more than 10 interfacing systems—including SCADA, M&E, AFC, power, PSD, telecom and maintenance management—without replacing existing subsystems. It translated signals from different suppliers and protocols into a standardised data model, enabling network-wide health monitoring, alarm management, KPI tracking and predictive analytics.
Delivery assessed and prioritised subsystems, proved an end-to-end slice against live systems, then scaled through a repeatable onboarding pattern. Configuration-led onboarding and knowledge transfer enabled the operator’s own O&M team to extend the platform.
