Connecting asset management facility management and property leasing
BCT expanded an initial Maximo support engagement across three organisations within a national rail ecosystem, bringing platform modernization, facility management and property leasing into a broader technology partnership.

The ecosystem required dependable enterprise applications to support safe, reliable and continuously available transport services. Technology teams needed to maintain application availability while strengthening asset-management capabilities across organisations with different operational responsibilities.
Legacy Maximo environments needed to evolve into a modern, scalable platform. The stakeholders also required specialised technical expertise and sustained support beyond individual projects, with technology services that could adapt to changing operational needs without compromising continuity.

Solution
BCT began by providing Maximo application and support services to the specialist subcontractor responsible for metro operations and maintenance. This engagement established the delivery relationship from which BCT expanded its role across the wider rail ecosystem.
The scope then extended to the main operations and maintenance contractor through an IBM Maximo Application Suite modernization engagement. It covered the platform upgrade, licence renewal, application services and ongoing support, with an expected engagement duration of 18–24 months.
BCT also established direct engagements with the rail infrastructure authority for a Computer-Aided Facility Management solution and a Property Leasing Management solution built on Oracle APEX. These engagements extended its role beyond asset management into facility and property operations.
The approach combined application support, platform modernization and additional enterprise solutions across the three organisations. BCT used its experience within the operating environment to develop a broader relationship aligned with the responsibilities of each stakeholder.
