Cloud migration and real-time integrations improve the responsiveness of an essential system
Singapore’s national water agency modernised its asset management system by moving it to the Government Commercial Cloud and updating the integrations and access processes around it.

Challenge
The on-premise asset management environment was becoming more costly to maintain and had limited capacity to scale. Users experienced performance issues, while file-based exchanges and lengthy integration approvals delayed information from external systems.
User onboarding and offboarding also required more manual effort than the client wanted. The agency needed a cloud environment that could support future demand while improving the speed of integrations, access management and day-to-day use.

Solution
BCT migrated the Anacle Simplicity asset management application to the Government Commercial Cloud. The cloud architecture was designed to scale while retaining the application’s existing framework, with migration planning and production testing to prepare for cutover.

Impact
The cloud environment provides a more scalable base for the asset management system and reduces the infrastructure maintenance burden. Real-time integrations allow users to receive external updates without the delays of file-based exchange, while automated account management reduces manual administration.
