A central integration layer adapts to a new provisioning system while retaining network connections
A wholesale telecommunications provider in Brunei evolved its gateway integration environment to connect changing upstream systems with established fixed-line and mobile network platforms.

Challenge
The integration environment had to work across network systems with different interfaces, including PCRF, U2000, APTILO, N2000 and IMS. As the upstream order management system was replaced by an Ericsson platform, provisioning flows needed to connect to the new system while continuing to serve existing downstream integrations.
Not every network platform used the same protocol: some supported APIs, while N2000 required TCP communication. The client also needed validation, logging and exception handling to identify failed transactions, invalid data and communication or transformation errors in production.

Solution
BCT established and maintained TIBCO BusinessWorks as a central layer between upstream provisioning systems and downstream network platforms. It extended that layer for the Ericsson transition, retaining existing downstream integrations while adapting the upstream connection.

Impact
The central gateway provides a structured integration path across the client’s diverse network platforms. When the upstream provisioning environment changed, the TIBCO layer was adapted while existing downstream connections remained in use, allowing modernization without rebuilding the full integration environment.
Common processing, validation and error-handling patterns support more consistent provisioning and troubleshooting. BCT’s continuing integration and production support helps coordinate issues across the client and relevant system teams.
