BCT deployed its CueTrans Integrated Logistics Management System to connect asset requests, driver readiness, vehicle checks, journey safety and performance management across a nationwide fleet operation.

Challenge
Managing transport at this scale required consistent control over vehicles, drivers, loads and journeys. Requests had to be planned and allocated across a large asset base, while vehicle and load inspections, driver fitness and journey release needed to be completed before travel.
The organisation also needed visibility throughout each trip. Safety events, journey closure and driver performance were difficult to manage consistently when operational information was spread across activities and applications. Manual judgement could also create disputes when performance was assessed.
The group required a common operating system that could improve safety and utilisation while connecting logistics activity with its HR, finance and workshop processes.

Solution
BCT’s CueTrans team developed and deployed the Integrated Logistics Management System, or iLMS, as a single platform for transport operations. The system tracks asset requests, planning and allocation, vehicle and load inspections, driver fitness, plan release, journey monitoring, journey closure and driver scorecards.
Telematics devices feed vehicle and journey data into iLMS, creating a record from driver identification and vehicle condition through trip progress and completion. The platform connects with SAP-based HR, finance and workshop applications so that operational decisions use consistent information.
The system applies objective measures to driver performance and supports scorecards for incentives, training, optimisation and safety improvement. Its multi-tenant architecture uses Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, PostgreSQL and Redis, with APIs and asynchronous processing supporting external integrations and high-volume telemetry.

The group gained central visibility into the deployment and idle status of its 6,000-plus vehicles, with end-to-end traceability from asset request through journey closure. This created a common basis for planning, allocation and monitoring across its workshops and operating locations.
