50 Professionals Established; 12-Month Operational Goals Met in 10 Months
BCT Consulting’s Build–Operate–Transfer services helped the firm expand delivery capacity across core practices and business functions, creating a foundation for future growth.
Client
Challenge
A shrinking pool of accounting graduates in the US made it increasingly difficult to secure the talent needed for expansion. The firm needed additional delivery capacity while maintaining the quality, collaboration and professional standards expected across its existing operations.
The requirement extended beyond routine offshore processing. Teams in India needed to contribute to tax, audit and assurance, client accounting and transaction advisory, alongside business intelligence, cybersecurity and support functions. Building this breadth required coordinated recruitment, transition planning and operational governance.
Previous experience with offshore providers had established high expectations. The firm wanted a partner that could deliver against a defined timeline, provide capable professionals and integrate the new centre into its wider organisation. A Build–Operate–Transfer model also required a clear path towards future customer ownership.

Solution
Following a six-month evaluation that included site visits and discussions with prospective providers, the firm selected BCT Consulting to establish its Global Delivery Centre in India. BCT Consulting developed a detailed transition map and operating plan to guide the build and operate phases.
The delivery model mirrored the firm’s core practices, including tax, audit and assurance, client accounting and transaction advisory. It also incorporated specialised capabilities in business intelligence, cybersecurity and specialty tax, together with marketing, human resources, finance and technology helpdesk support.
BCT Consulting aligned job titles, responsibilities and career development with those of US peers. Joint meetings and cross-border travel supported collaboration and helped the India team become part of the firm’s day-to-day operations.
Transition frameworks, process maps and service-level management supported delivery governance. Tax preparation and review tools, workflow tracking, document and workpaper management, and video collaboration supported execution across locations.
The technology approach included Radar360 EBP for employee benefit plan audit automation, supporting data readiness, configurable testing rules, exception review and evidence traceability. The engagement also expanded integration with the customer’s AI platform for tax and audit research and support tickets.

Impact
The centre reached 50 on-site professionals, with a further 20 candidates having accepted offers. BCT Consulting achieved the firm’s 12-month operational goals within the first 10 months, establishing delivery capacity ahead of the planned schedule.
The firm’s leadership reported that BCT Consulting delivered against its promised timeline and provided resources that met expectations. Progress was further ahead than leadership had anticipated when the engagement began.
The relationship expanded into discussions on joint go-to-market offerings for external clients. The centre’s mix of core, specialised and support capabilities provided a broader foundation for the firm’s growth plans.
The next phase targets more than 150 professionals by the end of 2026. The ongoing Build–Operate–Transfer engagement is designed to support a future transfer of the centre to the customer, building on the delivery capability already established.
