Challenge
The bank needed to migrate legacy payment processing to ISO 20022-based infrastructure and adopt SWIFT MX messaging while maintaining existing Nostro and banking messaging relationships. SEPA Direct Debit implementation also required alignment with European Payments Council rulebooks and the migration of existing customer mandates with limited disruption.
Operationally, the bank wanted higher straight-through processing rates and less manual intervention. The programme needed to bring together payment processing, compliance controls and clearing connectivity while reducing operational risk.

Solution
BCT delivered an end-to-end payments transformation over a 24-month engagement, using Temenos Payments Hub within a Temenos Transact environment. The scope covered SEPA Direct Debit implementation, SWIFT MX transformation, TARGET Services and TIPS integration, and a technical upgrade.
