Venkatesh Thenkarai (Venkat) is a seasoned technology executive with over 28 years of experience leading global delivery, engineering, and market-facing functions across the IT and digital transformation industry. He currently serves as the Chief Digital Officer of the Global Services Business at Bahwan CyberTek (BCT), where he leads the practices and delivery function.
Having built his career across some of the most demanding global technology environments, Venkat brings a rare combination of deep engineering expertise and executive-level strategic accountability. His leadership has consistently focused on driving large-scale growth, enabling customer success, and building high-performing delivery organisations across global markets in the US, Europe, Middle East, and APAC.
Prior to joining BCT, Venkat served as Chief Delivery Officer at WNS, a Capgemini company, where he led capabilities in Hyper Automation, AI, and Hyperscaler technologies. He also served as Country Head and Board Director at Ciklum India, playing a pivotal role in shaping the firm's strategic and operational direction.
His foundational years were spent at Cognizant, spanning nearly two decades, where he progressed from product engineering for financial services clients to technology practice leadership roles in quality engineering, platform engineering, and middleware architecture, building the operational rigour and technical breadth that define his leadership approach today.
Known for his ability to connect boardroom strategy with ground-level execution, Venkat's leadership style emphasises delivery excellence, engineering discipline, and scalable innovation, enabling organisations to meet the demands fast-evolving technology.
At BCT, Venkat is focused on strengthening delivery capabilities, advancing the firm's AI and automation agenda, and driving measurable outcomes for clients across industries.
Venkat holds a Master of Technology in Remote Sensing and GIS from the College of Engineering, Guindy, Chennai.
