The global engineering industry has never looked better. Technological expertise, strategic alliances and world-class standards are contributing to the growth and consolidation of the sector. The industry as a whole, is adopting quicker and more efficient methods to deliver world-class products.
But the risk in such a scenario is that best practices tend to get copied, encouraged by benchmarking. Consequently, companies within an industry tend to pursue the same customers with similar offerings, using undifferentiated capabilities and processes. All firms in an industry are seeking opportunities in the same places, and hence tend to come up with the same innovations. In this scenario, where businesses need to 'truly' innovate to stay ahead and deliver unmatched customer value, it is imperative for businesses to first understand innovation itself.
Bahwan CyberTek, in association with Madras Chamber of Commerce and Industry, is conducting a seminar titled Business Innovation and Engineering Excellence by the "thought leader" and widely recognized business speaker Dr. Mohanbir Sawhney on the 13th Dec 2010 at the Clive and Dupleix Room, Taj Coromandel, Chennai, from 9.30 am to 1 pm, followed by Lunch. Registration begins at 9 am.

Rapid progress witnessed in the Indian financial sector since the late '80s is steadily picking up steam as we move through the 21st century. The Indian Financial Sector has had to constantly reorient itself to address the constantly changing customer and market demands. There is a profusion of players - both private and government bodies - vying for a major chunk of the market. The stage is all set for a dramatic rise in the innovations in this sector to address every perceivable need of the customer.
In this context, to achieve sustainable commercial success in emerging markets and deliver true customer value, the Banking and Financial Services Sector must embrace a strategy based around innovation. The first step towards this would be for businesses to first understand innovation itself. Is it merely out of the box thinking or is it an organization culture.
Bahwan CyberTek is conducting a seminar titled Context of Innovation in Emerging Market by the "thought leader" and widely recognized business speaker, Dr. Mohanbir Sawhney on the 13th Dec 2010, at 7.30 pm, followed by dinner, at the Taj Coromandel, Chennai.

India, in it's 60+ years since independence, has gone through major changes in administration and economy. Since the liberalization in the '80s and '90s, governments have entered a reform and innovation phase - a phase where they are trying to modernize large, outmoded bureaucracies and bring them into the information age. The efforts are towards achieving a government that costs less, is run professionally, has most of its activities digitized, and enables reform and accountability.
In a global context, and in a growing economy, while there are commendable efforts to make governments more progressive and introduce a culture of innovation into their operations, it would help immensely to understand how the best eGoverned states of the world adopted innovation to achieve their goals and let the benefits reach the citizens.
Towards this, Bahwan CyberTek is conducting a seminar titled 'Innovation in Government Sector and Global e-Government trends' by the thought leader and global management guru, Dr. Mohanbir Sawhney, on the 14th Dec 2010, from 10 am to 12 noon, followed by Lunch, at the Taj Coromandel, Chennai.
